Périple means Journey. We like to think of it as an Adventurous Wandering and the perfect word to describe our approach to making wines from some of the best vineyards in California and Washington.
Périple also refers to several shared journeys. And there is that upon which the wine takes the drinker: that’s the one we love to see.
The Périple Family is an extended one. Wine Members, Moms and Dads, Kids and Cousins, Crazy Aunts and Silly Uncles. All knit together by a shared love for wine and each other. The task at hand can be tough but many hands make light work. And there’s always a glass of wine and a big hug waiting at the end of the day. Join the village and join the family.
The art of making artisanal wines was learned by Angie Shaltry through her mentorship with Helen Turley and Jeanne Beall, who passed on the age old craft of winemaking in the cellar - using science to support the wine - but not compromise the art. The wines are pure, lovely and wild: A complete representation of the earth from which they were meticulously grown.
