Monday, August 2, 2010 at 3:31PM Harvest is just around the corner.... we are heading to Washington this weekend to check out the Double Canyon Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills Appellation as well as a new vineyard on Red Mountain.
Horse Heaven Hills is north of the Columbia River -- the Double Canyon Vineyard where we sourced the 2009 Syrah and will be sourcing Syrah and Cab and Merlot this year sits up on a knoll. The winds whistle through the vineyard and arid comes to mind -- but somehow a strange sense of peace prevails. Look for photos early next week.
