Heading to the Vineyards

Harvest is just around the corner....  we are heading to Washington this weekend to check out the Double Canyon Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills Appellation as well as a new vineyard on Red Mountain.  

Horse Heaven Hills is north of the Columbia River -- the Double Canyon Vineyard where we sourced the 2009 Syrah and will be sourcing Syrah and Cab and Merlot this year sits up on a knoll.  The winds whistle through the vineyard and arid comes to mind -- but somehow a strange sense of peace prevails.  Look for photos early next week.
